Gut Loving Chocolate Mug Cake

Want a high protein, high fibre dessert full of healthy fats, prebiotics and probiotics and delicious chocolatey goodness that will make your gut happy? And takes 5 minutes to prepare?


  • 3 tablespoons of almond meal or flour

  • 1 teaspoon psyllium husk

  • 1 teaspoon of brown flaxseed meal

  • 1/2-1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1 tablespoons of flaked cacao - I recommend @creationcacao (you can use the discount code Kelley10 at the checkout)

  • 1 large free range egg

  • 1 tablespoon of pure, natural maple syrup

  • 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil

  • Natural Greek yoghurt or high quality coconut yoghurt of your choice


Place your mug in the microwave for 90 seconds on high, then 10 second increments after that until a skewer comes clean in the middle. Top with a dollop of yoghurt and enjoy 🤎
