Reasons to love an infrared sauna

I am a huge fan of infrared saunas and have used them for many years. Biggest reason for me… they improve my asthma about 1000% 🫁  which has been a game changer for me and I can’t recommend it enough.

But I’ve also been utilising hot (sauna), cold (cryotherapy) and compression therapies @mindbodylounge in rehabbing my knee injury and the combo has been incredible at relieving swelling, stiffness, soreness and helping to build back my muscle.

Infrared saunas have so many benefits for cardiovascular health, immune boosting, improved circulation, detoxification, relieving muscle tightness and tension, anti ageing, support weight loss, improving brain function and health, and as a complimentary therapy to cancer treatment which are impressive enough reasons to get your sweat on but they also have emerging benefits in relation to gut health and happy and balanced hormones.

A 2022 study found that infrared saunas helped to decrease toxins and heavy metals such as lead and cadmium, which are toxins that may be interfering with fertility.

Other studies have found that infrared saunas may reduce eostrogen dominance, decrease our stress hormone, cortisol, support in balancing the adrenals and reducing adrenal fatigue and some evidence for increasing the production of more helpful gut bacteria while reducing harmful gut bacteria, with more research going into these areas.

The lovely team at Mind Body Lounge have generously offered a discount code to share with you guys to try any of their treatment
